Exercise Timeline

Morning All,

So I understand that after surgery, you want to start walking right away. But how long is it before you are cleared for other types of exercise? I enjoy Pilates, spin and yoga. Yoga and Pilates can be pretty chill, but I'm curious how long before you could really get in a good hard workout?? I do realize that everyone's doctor is different, but I'm just trying to get a gauge of a timeline. Thank You!!

I was cleared to go back to running at three weeks, although it was probably about a month until I could jog without feeling like I was pulling on my stitches. I went back to MMA class, which involves a lot of twisting and cardio at 5 weeks and I never had any issues. My doctor said that as long as I didn't feel pain, then I could work as hard as I wanted after 5-6 weeks.

Good luck!

Does 5-6 weeks go for lifting as well? I've missed it so much since I've gotten this big and I can't wait to get back to it.
