Mexican border. . What can you take?

Anyone recently gone to Mexico and bring food into Mexico? Any restrictions? I'm bringing someone with me for surgery and she wanted to bring her own food.

      I think the restrictions go the other direction - you can't bring home grown food back across the US border. To be certain check out the State department's travel site.

    I've looked up information and from what I've read Mexico is more strict but their list is all in Spanish

    Lasy time we went' they took coldcuts, fruits and vegetables (motorhome) the left the booze alone. I believe you can take 1 bottle of booze. Kahlua!
