Just banded yesterday

It was a much better experience than I envisioned. I had great care and was kept very comfortable. Honestly, the worst part was drinking some really bad crap for the post-op G.I.! that stuff was HORRIBLE.

Day 2 is worse than Day 1. I think it has something to do with that nifty little morphine pump... But I'm comparing this to a C-section and overall, it's not bad. Is it true that days 2, 3 and 4 are often the worst?

I have a fair amount of pain from the port site. Normal?

I am on vicodin. The tablets are kind of big; I cut them in half. I just took one not long ago and am worried it will hurt my stomach. Was I supposed to get liquid vicodin?

I hope to hear from a couple of others here soon, who were banded on or around the same date. Pam? Autumn?

I was banded yesterday too.. I have darvocet, I crush them in a morter and pistol and mic them with about a tablespoon of grapefruit juice.. follow with a sip of water and then suck on a piece of a popsicle afterwards to the taste isn't too bad.

Hi I was banded a week ago they gave me liquid roxicet much easier. The worst pain is the gas pains but everyone is different I had the pains in my chest shoulder and neck by the 6th day I was feeling so much better. Good luck it will all be worth it in the end. :nervous

I was banded on the 19th and I had liquid roxicet as well. Stuff works great! My pains were worse day 4-7. Most of it was the gas pains, I had the pains in my shoulder and neck.

I am surprised that your doctor didn't give you the generic liquid form of morphine? If I were you, I would call and have him call in the liquid.
