should I reschedule my first appointment?

My first appointment with the surgeon is on Monday March 3rd. However, I just had back surgery on the 20th of February. They don't remove my staples until March 5th. I really want to go to this appointment, seeing this is my restart to the program since I had a pre-existing condition exclusion on myself for my obesity last year. If I reschedule it could be another month before I get in to see the surgeon. I guess I am looking for some advice on what to do. Any thoughts?

What does it hurt to go? The process takes time.

I had my gallbladder out on 2/21 and saw the surgeon for the fist time on 2/28. I know I have to wait at least 6 weeks before I could have surgery again. So I wanted to use the time to get qualified and get all my appointments completed. My surgeon says a very motivated patient who is already insurance qualified is looking at a 5 week first visit to surgery. Most take much longer.

I'd still go, like Amy said it's a long process and the first appt isn't anything you need to do anything special for.

I would go the first meeting you are just learning shout the process no big things in which you have to move around .
