M scheduled for march 12th, does anyone that had wls at kaiser know how many days you stay I'm Hospital?? Is it inpatient or outpatient? I'm

Asking cuz I had my gallbladder surgery at kaiser and I'm not kidding, the discharge nurse was sitting at my feet waiting for me to wake up and sign the discharge papers! Lol

I was told I would have to stay at least overnight, possibly more depending on my walking, drinking and pain management... I'm on a deductible an and the hospital stay isn't covered ($500 a night) so I really hope I get to go home the next day lol.

I had to stay one night

I was a Kaiser patient 1/6/14 and stayed over night....they did not rush me at all.

Hi Michelle! I am not sure what Kaiser you are going to. I am going through South San Francisco. I just have my appointment yesterday with the nurse practitioner. I asked about the stay and he told me that the stay is one night but that now they are even sending some people home the same day! Don't know if this helps but that's what he told me.

Goodluck with your surgery. Im also having surgery @ kaiser ssf. Heard lots of good things from kssf thats why im doing my surgery there.
