Homemade Smoothies ?

Can we make homemade smoothies with strawberries and/or bananas in the mushy phase? I'm 4 weeks post op tomorrow. I thought I read something about strawberries not being allowed until 6 months out or something like that ???

Not sure what's allowed, but I was making banana/strawberry/Gladiator powder (vanilla) smoothies 8 weeks out, with no ill effects. I'm now 9 mos. out, 109 lbs. down and 4 lbs. less than my (original)

  • I enjoyed strawberry blended into my smoothie after I was released to soft foods. But check with your Nut. Every program is different and as a conversion you might have stricter rules too. Lynda

I would confirm w/your doc or NUT, just to make sure.

I think it's the seeds that are a concern...?

I wasn't aloud the seeds so I used non fat plain yogurt, strawberry flavored slim fast and a banana, delicious !!
