March 2014 Bandsters - Let's Do This!

Any March 2014 Bandsters out there? My date is March 3. I've been trying out different Protein powder mixes and I got my Magic Bullet blender ready for action. Other than that, just counting down. I hope there are others getting banded on my same timeline... are you as nervous as I am?

Banded this morning and home now resting comfortably...got 3ccs in the band and a medium sized hiatal hernia repaired as well! Resting comfortably and taking the liquids slow as well :) I have to agree with some others, the gas pain and sore throat is more annoying to me than any of the stomach incisions!

Brooke how are you feeling after your surgery.

New me1475 I'm doing well! Thank you for asking! I was telling a coworker that this week (week 5 post op & first week of mushies) is the first week I feel truly 100% as in jeans don't bother the incisions at all anymore and I have more energy and actually feel like doing more exercise after work :) I haven't had my first fill yet but tiny portions of yogurt and especially refried beans seem to fill me right up! I'm down 23 pounds from prior to preop diet, looks like it's been a pretty steady 2 lbs a week drop and nothing in my band for a fill, so I'll take it ???? my first fill is on May 8th & I'm looking forward to seeing what that's all about! How's your journey going?
