Bad breath?

Since my sleeve I've been struggling with bad breath. I am religious about my oral hygiene and I am disgusted by my breath. Is anyone else dealing with this?

  • It's because your body is in ketosis. It happens on a very low carb diet. You can google it for all the science. Listerine Breath Strips for the win!

Now I do watch this crazy lady name Joan Rivers and I remember her making a job about how she could tell me one of the Hollywood people were on a diet because their breath smelled horrible...it could be the lack of carbs or water...ANY VETS care to chime in

I think it had something to do with being in Ketosis. Mine got better after about 1 & 1/2 months. There are special mouthwashes you can use. I just keep tic tacs on me. Sometimes gum even though I'm not supposed to have gum.

I agree - ketosis. My oral hygiene is super good and I just had a cleaning - but my breath is awful whenever I go into ketosis (which is often).

I get a stuffy nose at night and I wake myself up smelling my stinky breath. Ick

LoL, its near impossible to prepare for the doom that is ketosis breath ;-)
