Band with plication questions

I am scheduled to have lap band with plication on February 26. I am starting liquid diet Feb 12th. (getting closer). Every meal right now feels like my last.

Anyone who has had lap band with plication please let me know your experiences with recovery.

I am most nervous about the recovery period and how I will feel.

I have a 18 month old who loves when I hold him and a 4 yr girl. How long until i can hold them?

How did you feel the first week or two?

Thanks for all your help!

I have not read anyone's specific experience with plication, but in so much as it involves suturing the stomach just the same as in sleeve surgery, I would expect the recovery times and limitation to be similar. For the sleeve, lifting any weight is usually restricted for about a 4-6 weeks. This is a question I'm sure your surgeon would instruct you for post op recovery. If not, then ask him.
