Oklahoma peeps?

So any Oklahoma people out there having or has had the gastric bypass? I am getting closer everyday. Still have a little weight to lose before I get the surgery done. I have been obese all my life and I'm ready to start living the life I want! I absolutely love this channel of support. It's nice knowing there are others facing the fears and struggles I am. But knowing tomorrow is a new day.

I'm an okie:) when is your surgery?

My surgery is tomorrow, 1/15/14. I am so nervous and scared! I have to be there at 730am and surgery is at 9am. I can't believe it is here already! I will be in the hospital about 4 days and I am taking my tablet so I can tell about my experience there, if I am able, if I'm not to tired or in too much pain! Where are you having surgery? You can get my info on my profile :)

Good luck to you Oakies on your upcoming surgeries. You will do fine. I had surgery 3 months ago and it is the best decision I ever made for myself. Wow, you're staying in the hospital 4 days? I only stayed one night and did fine. The first week is the most difficult, but after that it is smooth sailing. You won't be hungry after surgery so the liquid diet is no problem. In fact, it will be a challenge to get all your protein and liquids in. Let us know how you do. Again, good luck!

Good wishes to you guys.. 4 days in patient does sound long! I was home the next night .. Christmas shopping in under a week! Take a heating pad to hospital... It will help with carbon dioxide discomfort. Not bad at all.. Walk as much as possible.. I am 7 weeks out and down 48# . Off most meds and loving every minute!
