Can loose skin be minimized

Fellow Sleevers what things have worked to minimize loose skin or there's no such remedy?? While I'm beside myself with excitement I'm equally worried about excessive loose skin. I plan to incorporate a lot of resistance training but wonder if creams or lotions help and if so what brands?

I haven't been sleeved yet so I can't say from experience, but I am nervous too. I've read that skin brushing works well. So I will probably try that with some cocoa butter. Here's to hoping!

  • Skin brushing is rarely acknowledged on here, but I've heard it really firms up the skin if you do it every day before your shower.

Bella omggggggg look at you you look great. I absolutely cannot wait to get sleeved and began the journey to change my life. I feel mentally and physically ready. My knees kill me with exercise and long days when I'm on my feet for extended periods the bottom of my feet burn and hurt so bad. You look great kudos to you! I will look up the bio oil. Thanks girly!

Hey CC,

My knees were really bad too!! I'm a little worried about them actually as I think the years of being overweight have taken their toll...one makes a loud clicking grinding noise whenever I walk up stairs and the older one has Fluid and is a bit achey...weird that the grinding one doesn't hurt lol it sounds like it should!! My nutritionist has told me that the Multivitamins can help with the joints but I'm hopeless with them plus I swear they make me ill :-/ I normally taken them every other day or so...

Thanks for the compliments and I'm excited for you!! When's the big day??

This skin brushing thing sounds good - I'm going to look it up and maybe use it to apply my bio oil :-D

And if it helps at all, I've seen the brushes at TJ Maxx and Marshall's as well for pretty cheap if you're not one to order offline.

When is your surgery Curvy?

We had a plastic surgeon come speak to our support group & he said that nothing really helps it. You can only tone so much but not enough to make a difference. Removing the excess skin seems to be the only answer & many Dr's won't do it until you have stabilized your weight for 1 year.
