Are revisers different?

My friends that have had VSY for the first time without revision said their pain is different than people who revised. Is that true?

I swear I can still feel some type of a pouch or something where my sternum is. Yet my friend who didn't have the band says her stomach muscle hurts much lower.

Are there differences ?

I had a revision and had no pain at all. I did have a hard spot where they removed my port for a while and then it went away.

It's important to realize that everyone's experience is truly unique and individual. I had virtually NO PAIN. I can relate to two different "sensations" that I had both of which have gladly gone away! The "pouch feeling" I had for a while too no matter what I ate- but it's magically gone now and I think has to do with the way your stomach heals. Secondly, I had that lower abdominal- discomfort- that too has gone away. Hang in there- everyone is different!

I didn't really have much pain with either surgery. It was the same when I got my band and when i had my band removed and the sleeve was done.

I had my band in 01/05 and to me it was very painful the first 4 days. I have a very low tolerance for pain.

I had my revision on 12/20/13 and it was painless, hardly any pain, I was a little tender on left side for abt two to three days.

I was really nervous abt the pAin w the sleeve. I had watch several u tube videos..some said no pain and others said worst pain in their life. So I wasn't really sure what to think. I was really scared but went ahead with it. When I came to I couldn't believe that it didn't hurt. I was pleasantly surprised and oh so relieved.

No my only problems was EXTREME nausea and Diarrhea...

My diarrhea has stop and the nausea not quiet as bad.

Good luck in your venture
