So my surgery was 11/25/13 as if today I am down 20.9 lbs. That makes about 5 lbs a week. Is that normal? I hear so many others loosing so much more the first month.

I will also say, I am 11 weeks out and have been stalled almost half the time. It's a wonky ride, this weight loss journey.

I was losing about 20lbs/month for the first few months, then it tapered down to about 12lbs. After 6 months, I was losing at 10lbs/month. We all lose at different rates depending on stomach size, recovery rate, exercise and diet. As long as your doctor says you're doing okay, you're fine. He's in the best positon to judge.

Thank you all so much.

Seriously, the best thing you can do is not compare your weightloss to others here. I did that too much for my own good. I have always lost slower than others and you just cant compare with people that have a lot more to lose or are younger or fitter or whatever. Just do your own best.

I still love this Forum but I quit calculating how long it took this or that person to lose how much.

Congratualtions, I think you are doing great!!!
