I meant to call insurance today and check on my approval. :straight I know it probably hasn't been approved yet, but I learned from my experience with the last surgeon to check and make sure the insurance company actually got the material.

It is my opinion that hassling them makes the process go faster. I don't know if it actually works or not, but calling them every day the waiting not seem so bad. :heh:

They should, since I have several obesity-related conditions. I have PCOS, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, asthma, etc.

If you have to change insurance in August, why don't you have the surgery by the partner of the pregnant surgeon since she's out until late July? If she decides to take additional time off, it could mean you having to find another surgeon unless you already know that your new insurance will cover the surgery with this MD.

She doesn't have a partner. The only other surgeon in Tennessee that my insurance will pay for isn't nearly as experienced as she is, either. My new insurance policy is still going to be with the same company.
