One week post surgery

One week ago I had Gastric Sleeve surgery. Last week was rough. Lots of nausea and reflux. This week I am feeling much better and I am trying to resume normal activity but paying special attention to not lifting anything and not overdoing it. The hardest part so far is training my brain. My brain is thinking of pizza, sushi, popcorn, cake, pretty much everything that I know I cannot have. I am looking forward to getting to day 15 when I can start to incorporate some food in my diet. The whole soup/protein drink thing is not great.

Yeah, I know what you mean about missing solid food. I was lucky/unlucky in that I was so miserable the 10 days post-op and I couldn't/didn't want to eat anything. I was living on cream of mushroom soup for the first month, but at least it was semi-solid and I would take the occasional bite of chicken salad.
