Today was day three of my 2 week liquid pre surgery diet. I debated on whether I should go to the Christmas party for my work but decided to go ahead and go. As I expected there was food everywhere and I had a glass of diet coke. Yea me!! Now I'm going to just go to bed and try not to think about being hungry.

I may try them. I've been drinking the Ensure High Protein. They have 26g of protein. I actually like them. The doc wants solids only after about a month, but I could see myself using them to get me through the day at work. I have a very physical job and can't always get a break to eat.

No solids? I thought you were allowed vegs. Some doctors are more strict than others. Mine is a stickler. But I am trying to be really good because I know for a fact that my liiver is fatty and i dont want it to affect my surgery. I do plan on cheating on Christmas day. Just a little.

I am day 8 of 10 of the pre-op liquid diet, on mine I have been eating cream soups, yogurt, cottage cheese, meal replacement shakes that are high on protein, sugar free pudding made with skim milk, and lots of sugar free jello! It is getting easier with each day and I am glad because when you factor in post surgery that is quite a stretch without anything solid! What a journey, excited to see the results!

I would love some cream soups! Soooo tired of broth. Went to my grandsons band concert tonight. Of course everyone went to Arby's afterwards. My favorite fast food place! I had to sit and watch everyone eat while I had a diet pepsi. This is hard hard hard!!!
