Need lunch ideas on a budget

I need lunch ideas. I am 18 months post op and need help buying items for lunch. I do not really have access to a clean microwave, and can not handle bread for sandwiches. It is the holidays and money is tight right now.

I haven't had my surgery yet but I've been dieting for a couple of months in anticipation of the surgery. I take cottage cheese and pineapple tidbits. It doesn't have to be heated up, it's light and refreshing, and high in protein. Sometimes I just do plain tuna wrapped in a lettuce leaf. When I don't have anything at all, I either go to a frozen meal or a protein drink. These are all things I can keep at work as a last minute "go-to".

Not exactly gourmet dining, but I will often wrap deli turkey or thing beef slices around a cheese stick for a quick lunch or put that between pieces of lettuce with a little mayo in the middle.

You could buy some lunch meat, turkey pepperoni, summer sausage, and cheese... Have cheese, meat, and crackers... That should get you some quick protein and cals without a huge expense.. Turkey pepperoni also lasts a long time in the fridge..

I buy Lunchables at Walmart. Fast easy lunch. I can never finish the crackers.
