Dr. Ortiz just banded me 4 days ago and I feel great. I am so glad I chose him as my surgeon. The whole experience was great. Even my skeptical husband was very impressed. I am a nurse, so believe me I was checking everything out! Everyone speaks good english too. Dr. Ortiz doesn't really even have a spanish accent!! I would highly recommend going to Mexico. He also has a book on amazon.com call Lap-Band for Life. Reading that gives you a little insight on the whole experience. Hope this helps.:)

Hehehe, I pointed that out to him too :success1: He said he can have one when he needs to and proceeded to show me he was right!

Great staff, great place.

I was there Thursday for my band, I probably saw you there! I am also a nurse and have no problems recommending Dr. Ortiz and his staff. They were very professional, happy so far with the band. Let me ask are you hungry? my stomach is grumbling...lol Here I come....65 lbs to go!
