Shredded Cheese

Hi guys. Had surg the 22nd of November and I was just cleared for soft/puréed foods. I'm allowed to have chili - I want to put a little shredded cheese on top to amp up the protein but I have heard people sometimes have an issue with the stringy texture after the cheese melts. Anyone want to offer insight?

Always added shredded cheese to my chili. Because I use so little, I spend a bit extra to buy Tillamook quality cheese and shred it myself. It feels like a little treat.

Thank you! I gave it a try today and not only was the turkey chili and cheese the best thing I've had in weeks, it went down really well too :) I appreciate the feedback.
