How Many Times Do You Go #2?

I seem to be only having a bm once every 5-6 days. Maybe in part because I'm still on liquids and mushies? I've had this horrible pain in my side that I thought was constipation so I took a laxative. Big mistake. I had horrible tummy cramps and diarrhea for the next 2 days. But lost 3 lbs so there's that. It's Sunday evening now and I haven't gone since Thursday. Is this normal you think? What are you all doing to stay regular ? I don't get a lot of fiber in because I'm concentrating on protein. And I really don't want to take another laxative.

I had to take milk of magnesia for the first time in my life. It was that or seek medical aid... It worked without cramping but was still a production! Lol I am determined to not let that happen

Been having that issue myself. It was 5 days after surgery (last week) when I told my NUT that I hadn't poo'd. She freaked a little. I got a probiotic and some Metamucil and that got things moving.

For the first couple weeks after surgery it was a once every 3-5 day thing, which is normal seeing you aren't eating anything. I'm 6 weeks now and it's about every day or two, depending on how much fiber I get through normal food and water I get in.
