Stage 2 Pureed Diet Now

Hi all,

I just found out today that I'm on a stage 2 diet meaning I can now have pureed foods. Its been 11 days since the surgery and was on a liquid diet for that period. If anybody has any tips or advice even feedback I would sure appreciate it. They did give me a handout on the basics but still I would like input from my peers. thanks.

Cottage cheese saved me... I couldn't get down a lot but I could get it down and I do like it. I did progress to refried beans, eggs, ricotta etc. I had to still drink a protein drink because I couldn't get down enough soft food! I don't enjoy much of it, but it is keeping me alive!

Scrambled eggs, refried beans and cheese, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, my go to meal has been a little ricotta with about a teaspoon of spaghetti sauce microwaved for a couple minutes with a little Parmesan on top. Sooooo good after being on mostly sweet liquids for so long. I also love beans w cheese from Taco Bell or any Mexican food place with a little sour cream. Boston market has these delicious mashed potatoes that have cheese and other stuff in them. Not great for getting protein in but boy are they yummy. I'm making deviled eggs tonight to have something quick and easy to take to work. Costco also has this really yummy chicken salad that is premade and I run a bit through my blender to make it mushie. And the other thing I can't wait to try is blending up some chicken with a little bit of broth or mayo and topping it with a tiny bit of buffalo sauce and some blue cheese dressing. Kind of like puréed buffalo wings! If you do a search for gastric sleeve puréed diet or similar wording, you can find a lot of ideas. Also good is The World According to Eggface. She has some wonderful recipes on her website.
