Dehydrated?

I need help! It has been 12 days since I was filled to 1.6. (Last fill of 1.4 was 7 months ago.) At first, I felt NOTHING. After a week, the band felt much tighter and I had some PB's getting used to it. For three days I have been on liquids only. The band still feels tight.

How soon should the swelling go down?

How much liquid do I need to consume to make sure I am not dehydrated?

I can only sip slowly!

Good rule of thumb, the darker your urine the more dehydrated you are. That does not take into acount vitamins coloring your urine, so if you are taking something that changes the color then that won't work for you. Just try to get down 64oz every 24hrs. As for the swelling, everyone is different, I swell withing the first 2hrs and stay swollen for a week! Others are fine and have very little swelling at all. Just take it slow and get to know your body :)

Think of it this way, if you are thirsty you are already getting a little dry.

Someone (surgeon? nutritionist?) told me the same thing. By the time your body says "give me water", you are already in early dehydration.

Thank you...I needed an emergency unfill. I'm glad I went because I had an obstruction. Everything is fine now that I am on the mend.
