Does anyone do B12 injections? I'm supposed to do my first one on my own today and am a little nervous. Any tips for giving them to yourself??

I first bought these shots in the hospital pharmacy in Mexico -- now I get them at a similar price per injection (about $2.50) from a Mexican pharmacy site. It may be placebo effect, but I *think* I fell better on them

There are a lot of good YouTube videos on giving yourself a B-12 shot - I can't feel a thing when I inject the upper/outer quadrant of my buttocks - I just stand in front of a full length mirror and twist to get a good view

Any compounding pharmacy can mix its about $12. Per 30ml. You can also get single dose vials dirt cheap.

I tried to do the B12 sublingual Tablets for a month or so and it felt like it took five-six minutes to dissolve even though they were tiny. Decided to go with the B12 injections. I had to call up my Dr. and get a prescription. When I got to the pharmacy (Walgreens), I noticed that they offer many different types of shots i.e. Flu Shots... Basically, everything but B12 shots I inquired as to if they could give B12 shots also. They said if you have a prescription, they could administer the shot. It is an unwritten/unmentioned service that is offered to customers. So, for the last 2 months, I have been getting B12 shots from the Pharmacist. In and out in about 10 minutes. B12 prescription is $15.00, administering the shot is free! Hope this helps.

Get a ex, have mixed by pharmacy.. $15 for 30 cc and give sub cutaneous to yourself! Much cheaper.

There's no way I could give myself a shot! I also pay $15 for my monthly B12, and the pharmacist at Kroger gives it to me lickety split!
