weight went up....nervous

I am 17 days post op and gained 2lbs today. My starting weight was 269. I was 259 when I came home from the hospital. I was losing pretty well, yesterday I was 242.5 and today I went back up to 244. I was and am devastated. I am still on the 4 weeks of liquids post op. The only thing that I have added is grits.

I bounce. I have since surgery. Lose 2, gain .5, lose 4, gain 2. It is one of the reasons I now only weigh once a week. I have never weighed a Monday to Monday and gained. It could be you need to have a bowel movement, you could be retaining some water.... Don't worry, No devastation.... It will all even out

Thank you. I have to lock up this scale. It is making me crazy:-)

It is way too early to freak. You had surgery a little over two months ago and it is unlikely you can eat anything in any quantity that will cause a permanent gain right now. Your weight fluctuates daily due to water, sodium, bloating, any number of things. Just stay on your program and all will be fine.
