I have a question about diet.

Recommended Posts

I'm 10 weeks post-op and I'm still trying to get a grip on the proper way to eat. I have lost 40 pds but seem to be stuck. I find I can easily get in 1000 calories a day. Then I exercise bringing my net to about 750 to 800 a day. Can someone give me some ideas of ur menus for the day eating low carb. Also if u eat low carb do u worry about calories?

Why don't you go back and see your NUT and let them work with you if you're struggling.

I try to stay under 40-60 carbs a day! I will eat a Greek yogurt, an egg scrambled with cheese, lunch meat and a few slices of cheese, Protein bar, Protein shake...all examples of breakfast!

lunch and or dinner...lunch meat with cheese, chicken salad, chili, chicken nuggets, any kind of meat (except steak and pork chops, not until 6 months out) pimento cheese with a few crackers, broiled fish, any kind of chicken, soft cooked veggies...I like green Beans, broccoli, etc...vegetable soup!! I can't have raw fruits or veggies until 6 months!!!

Hope this helps

Kim

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
