Woo hoo got a date!

Hi Fellow Sleevers! :D

I got my surgery date! I am so happy and a little nervous all at once,

My paperwork was submitted this morning and by this afternoon I was on the phone with the surgeon’s office hearing the nurse tell me that my surgery has been approved and I need to schedule my surgery. I think I am still in shock that it was this quick, I had prepared myself to wait patiently for the 2 weeks that it could take, never imagining that it would be a few hours. This totally makes up for all of the sleep study hoo-hah that I went thru last week.. for sure!

I was hoping for a November date and my wish was granted, my life changes for the good on 11/21.

My preadmin date is 11/6 and then I get to start my 2 week diet on 11/7. I am so ready for this, I am sitting here with the biggest smile on my face, just knowing that the surgery got approved, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my chest!

I just had to share with someone other than my wonderful supporting husband. Since I have not told anybody else about my decision to have WLS. I was waiting for the approval to come in. Now I get to tell who I want, only positive thoughts are going to be accepted by this girl

Thanks for listening and good luck to everyone waiting for that approval phone call!!!

My surgery is scheduled for November 19. I started by pre-op diet November 12. It seems my diet is quite forgiving. Unlimited raw and steamed veggies, 3-4 protein shakes, unlimited SF popsicles, SF jello, broth, decaf coffee and tea, Crystal Light, water; no more than 6 of the following: 1 cup low-fat or skim milk, 1 cup V-8 or tomato juice (no V-8 Splash regular or diet), 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, plain grits, Cream if Wheat, Cream of Rice (can use cinnamon), 4 oz. sugar free pudding, 6 oz. light yogurt or light Greek yogurt (with no fruit pieces), 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (any flavor). Last 2 days: no applesauce or veggies. Last day: water, crystal light, apple juice, white grape juice, white cranberry juice, broth (chicken, veggie, beef), Gatorade, SF jello, SF Popsicles, decaf coffee, decaf tea. Can use sweetener but no sugar.

Pre-test November 12. Received a call the following day asking was I sure I'd never had a blood transfusion and was I sure I'd never been pregnant. WTW?? Haven't heard from them since. Super excited and grateful for my support circle! Packing bag over the weekend. YAY!

Tomorrow at 11:45 a.m, EST will begin my new chapter in life. Super excited, going to get mani/pedi after carpet cleaners leave.
