Hi, my husband and i are 8 days post op- we're full liquids with some puree..... Here is my question- how long do liquids stay in your stomach? We had broth and ice tea for "lunch" and i still feel full.... We're out with friends, so i think i overdid it a bit and may have drank too much too quickly.... So did i somehow "hurt" myself or still full? My husband is under the impression that liquids pass through quickly but for years, people have always said drink a glass of water or have lo cal veg soup to fill up before you eat. I know that fill up principle no longer applies, just wondering about the affects of liquid? Thanks!!
