24 hours post op

I am about 24 hours post op and the swelling and pain around incisions has definitely increased.

Wondering if it's the gas that hit today? I was expecting it yesterday, but yesterday wast so bad. When did you guys get gas and how many days did it last? Also, how often did you take the maalox? I'm not sure my bottle said

Also, deep breathes are very very painful today

Its the gas I wish someone had told me to talk milk of magnesum to get things moving softly that would have relieved the pressure alot faster. It usually the air in the body not in the stomache.

I just got home from the hospital and I am 24 hours post op as well. Your body will absorb the gas over time and it is true that walking helps. Grats to you and me :)
