Hi Sarah and welcome to LBT! I would be happy to share my lap band experience with you. I was banded on 1/30/07 in RI by Dr. Pohl. I did fine post-op except for the awful gas pains that hit at 9:00 pm on the 2nd night(2/2) and stayed with me for 6 straight hours. That was the worst. Then each day got better and better. Today 1 month post-op, I feel GREAT! I have lost 29lbs (that is including 14 lbs lost on a pre-op diet). I am still eating a full liquid diet with the addition of eggs,yogurt,cottage cheese, and beans. I drink protein shakes too. I am so glad that I got banded. I can honestly say that I really think that the band is my solution. I have struggled with my weight all my life. I am so glad that I made this decision.
