today was my first taste of bison aka buffalo
i have always wanted to try it and my ole man went and found us some
at the new harris teeter grocery store near our house. it was 8.99 per pound
the meat was alittle darker and it was really good
we cooked it on the grill (like i would a beef patty)
i say it is something i would enjoy again
and cant wait to make baby meat loaves with it and chili and beef (bison) stew
anyhow, thought i'd share

Benefits of Eating Bison
Bison meat has almost half the calories of beef and contains higher levels of digestible Protein. In appearance, bison is a richer and darker red meat. This is due to the high levels of Vitamins and minerals and the lack of artificial preservatives, stimulants and hormones usually found in beef.
