September 23 Surgery

I am new to this site. I am now 7 days post surgery. When I started the whole process I was at my HW of 391. DOS was 388. DOR was 372 & this morning was 359! I am on the plan that "solid foods" are still 4 weeks out. "Mush foods" are about 2 weeks out. While I am not usually hungry, I still find I want some food satisfaction! I am getting SOOOOOO tired of protein shakes and the limited liquid diet stuff!!!

Any good ideas???

So are you on purée??

HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 198

Sugarfree jello...crystal light...I also was allowed cream of wheat (strained and really runny) ...protein shakes and protein drinks (syntrax nectar fuzzy navel)...chicken broth...all these made it possible to get through the liquid stage. .

Just remember that this will only last a few more weeks. If you fill that you need more, contact your doctors office. Usually after four weeks you are on mushy foods but every doctor is different. This is a learning life style changing event in our life's although I freely admit I am a slow learner!

I had 2 ah-ha moments this week! I've been on a 2 week stint without losing any weight. I drink my Water but apparently I was not getting enough. Had a night where I got real thirsty and drank a lot of water. Ah-ha moment #1. (Things began to move! Hallelujah!!! Ah-ha moment #2 happened today when I hit the gym for the first time since I came home. I walked on a treadmill for 1 hour. That's it! Talk about a movement!!! Between the water & the walk, my stall is now in high gear. So follow the 2 "W's" to keep things "moving"!
