i have been doing that pre-op...although i like the slimfast optima shakes..the bars seem to have the same calories and even more protein..so I have been eating them sometimes...I am assuming that it is ok.

I find the Atkins protein bars to be the best all-around: they have the least sugar, a lot of protein, and a bunch of fiber in each one. They're getting harder and harder to find, though.

I get this pure Protein bar - with 20 grams of protein and only 2 net carbs.

I like the slim fast low carb shake with 20 grams of protein and 6 carbs. I've used 'ultra met' with about the same amount of protein/carbs in powdered form when I'm at home.
