Something new every day

Today I had apple.juice because I have been craving something other than aspartame. I diluted it 50/50 and it was gross. I usually like my drinks where down so I dont think that was the problem. I also took a bite of my sons fries (naughty me, whatever) and that was gross too. As matter of fact I don't like the taste of anything. What's wrong with me? Everything has the same bland taste. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Don't worry. I went through that as well tried a few things in the "you know better" category and instantly got turned off. Fries where my first love, now today 6 months post-op they still turn me off and make me feel awful. After weeks of cleansing your system and your pallet you are now tasting all those nasty preservatives and artificial additives that you ate so much of over the years.

My love of starch has been replaced with a love for vegetables. My tolerance for sugar and salt have decreased severely ands for that I am grateful. Try making your own juices at home with organic fruits.

It'll get better. I promise. Good luck.

I've been drinking 4 oz. regular apple juice (Treetop 3 apple blend) first thing in the morning since I got home from the hospital without problems. Of course the taste would be bland if diluted 50/50. The crisp taste gets me going, a substitute for my old coffee habit. I just don't drink a lot of it due to the calories.

I find it helpful to brush my teeth a couple of times during the day to refresh my palate. The slow eating of small amounts of food makes my mouth feel yucky and probably isn't doing my teeth a lot of good, so brushing helps.
