4-days post-op

I had my first BM today after surgery which was on Monday, 09/16. I am on an all liquid diet for 7-14 days, so I have diarrhea (TMI, I know).

However, I just want to know if this is normal. I thought I wouldn't have a BM for 5-7 days, so I am just a bit early.

I feel like I have been doing everything correctly. Vitamins, liquids, walking, passing gas, but no Protein for these first two weeks. My doctor just wants me to stay hydrated and to heal.

Thank you for any advise from those that have been through this stage.

I had mine a few days after surgery too. I thought there was something wrong with me as well but I was fine. Everyone is different. It was all liquid until I started Protein and now that I'm five weeks out I sometimes go a couple days in a row then sometimes a couple days apart.

Oh, okay. Thank you for sharing. I was really worried that something was wrong as well. You have eased my concerns/fears, it sounds like it is normal.
