Just had surgery

Hey guys,

My name is Jimmy and I've just had my RNY surgery on Sept 2nd I'm American living in the Netherlands. The surgery went extremely well I was out of the hospital in 28 hours the worst part was the surgical staples they used to close the 5 small incisions they were so uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep. I guess I'm looking for some other guys for a little support group. Like what's good to eat what kind of work outs do you do stuff like that. Alright take it easy!

Hi Jimmy... please go to your surgeon for direction on what you should be eating. I was on total liquids for a week or so, then on to mushy soft. I hope you have a speedy recovery !!!

Thank you! I think I've been lucky so far the recovery is going really well no complications or anything. I know what I have to eat for now just the first few weeks after surgery but what about after that when u get on real food any delicious healthy recommendations?

Hey Jimmy!

Welcome! I'm a girl however, lurking in the men's room it would appear. .. :)

But seriously. Healthy choices include limited carbs, high protein, non-fried foods. We have many threads here that cover all stages of post surgery. You will like it here. :)

Hey how are you feeling? I had mine on 11/5/12.

Any help I can give I'm an open book!
