Anxious

So I am super antsy waiting for my RNY. I failed my psych exam and I now have to wait 6 months for my surgery. I've already gone through all the steps and passed everything else no I'm held back by this one stupid thing. I am ready to be the new me already. I've even changed everything so I will be prepared, like buying foods with less that 5 grams of sugar and plenty of baby spoons. Is anyone else going through something similar? Any advice?

If you failed your psyh exam then they saw something you need to work on before moving forward. Spend this time working on those issues that a specialist wants you to work on. If you put in the hard work during this time your journey post op will be a little easier as you will know how to cope with thing better.

Good luck

After my exam I was diagnosed with binge eating disorder and had to complete a couple months of group and individual therapy before psych would clear me. I was upset that it held me back at first but it was really helpful and now I see the true cause and got to face my demons. It will all be okay don't worry about it too much. Everything happens for a reason :)
