Pickles!

I was craving pickles so bad. I loved them before surgery and was dying for a slice of pickle. I can't eat solid food for another two days so I took a sip of the pickle juice from the jar

.

.

.

Then another

.

.

Then one more

OMG it was amazing. I had to put the jar away before I drank the whole thing. I've never craved pickles so bad before. Could it have been the salt?

Have you been taking your vitamins? Pickle cravings are linked to low iron. Its why pregnant ladies crave pickles

I have been craving pickles so much that I bought a resturant size jar of hamburger slice dill pickles. funny don't want the big dill ones just slices and I take all my vitamins including an extra iron pill. was also told by my surgeon off on last visit my levels were great

Omg that is all I craved after surgery I drank the juice

I love making and eating pickles.... I am on the pureed stage but can't wait to get to the next stage and try one

The dill relish is what I would spoon down :) glad to hear I wasn't the only want with the weird pickle cravings. I would just eat it from the jar which disgusted my hubby

Omg I thought it was just me! I haven't craved much since surgery but steak tips an pickles...not together tho!

I eat a pickle almost every day now and I never did before surgery! I had heard it has to do with potassium levels but am not sure. Havent had my bloodwork checked since surgery so not sure where im at. That comes at 6 months post op.

Thats weird, I thought I was the only one. I found some great low sodium sliced dills, and they are amazing. Just what I needed. I am 4wks on the loser bench and can now have soft solids.
