3 days post op

I finally had my rny 6/28 I came home on 6/30. I'm feeling good other than being really tired. 2 questions, anyone else come home from the hospital and not be able to stand the smell or mention of food? I'm ok with water and jello but when the family is eating yuck I can't stand the smell. Also I'm having really bad gas pains anyone have suggestions to help with those?

I was that way. I struggled with nausea for the first week. It is getting better but not perfect yet. Ill be three weeks out on Wednesday.

I know it's not pleasant but walking will get rid of the gas pains. The nausea against food will pass in a bit. I had the same. Congrats and best of luck!!

Walking does help, and your entire outlook on food will begin to change...

congrats to you and wishing you all the best

Yah def! Smells of any kind were heightened and i was nauseous from them. Everything seemed so power full but I'm a week post op and it's much better. I can wear perfume again lol

one week shy of 3 months post op and I just started wearing body sprays again maybe 2 weeks ago. already had heightened sense of smell so after surgery couldn't stand for daughters to come into my room and use one of my many body sprays or perfumes. gag! still can't stand the thought of chicken :( let alone eat it even grilled. but now I can do 2 oz of lean beef.
