Are you chewing 25-30 times before you swallow? what have you tried? I suggest you go with fish and soft veggies, eat your protein first, but CHEW, CHEW, CHEW and allow some time before each bite.

I hav the same problem,& still do at times, but if you eat small portion it helps,I used a baby fork & spoon, so I couldn't take big bites. Make sure you eat slowly too, Try the Special K protein drink, it's good & filling it has 10grams protein & 16 sugars so there's no problem with dumping. Also try to eat around the same time &don't drink anything while you eat ,you should wait at least 30 minutes. I hope some of this helps , I'm 5no. Post op lost 100lbs, & I'm still trying to get this eating thing down.( no pun intended)Be well, Peace,Mary

I've been on soft foods for five days now. I like bean free turkey chili - 11gr protein in 1/2 cup. Tilapia is delish. Scrambled eggs. Grilled burger (chopped in food processor and moistened with beef gravy). Meatball, mashed with sauce and Parmesan cheese. String cheese - 7gr protein. So far this is all I've tried. I haven't had trouble with any of it. Chew well, small bites, eat slowly.
