Bewbie - banded 2/15

Hi everyone,

I'm so glad I found this support site. I was banded on 2/15 and boy does it hurt! If I could just get rid of this gas I think I would be more comfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks alot!

congrats on being newly banded. I found that the best things that have helped my gas are the gas-x strips that disolve in your mouth and lots and lots of walking. Good luck and it will get better!

Hello there! I was banded on February12! I know exactly what you mean about the gas, the best thing to do is walk, walk, walk. I am doing a lot better it is just my port site that still hurts. It hurts most if I have been sitting for a bit and then try to get up again. But isnt this very exciting. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Congrats on your new band!! The gas will get better after a few days. As the other posters said, walk walk walk!! and the gas x strips do help also. good luck!

Hi and welcome to LBT! I was banded on 1/30/07 and had my fair share of gas. I agree with what has already been said-gasx,and walking. I would also add a heating pad. All of these really helped with the gas situation. Best of luck to you! Gigi:)
