I wait the remainder of the when I have the fill, then begin solids the next day. Unless I don't have my fill until later in the day - then I'll do liquid/mushies the next day and start solids on day 2.

My nurse practitioner (who does my fills under fluoro) says "anything you can get through a straw for 24 hours, then just be careful." Usually goes pretty well.

Good luck!

Follow the advice of your MD. For me, the rules are fluids for the day of the fill, soft on the following day, and back to a normal diet after that.
