I had surgery 4 years ago and in 9 months I lost 60 pounds and then it stopped. I haven't gained a pound nor lost a pound. My doctor told me this was normal for a diabetic? Anyone have any advice or similar situation??

Cathy, I am a type 1 diabetic and my weight loss was good at first but I've been at a stall for a while. My doctor told me that my weight loss would not be as fast because of the diabetes.

Are you type 1 or 2? I was under the impression that RNY made type 2 better.

My surgery was four year ago I lost 60 pounds in 9 months now I lose a pound then gain a pound my sugars are better went from 200 units aday down to 40 my sugars drop so low I have ended up in the hospital very scary doc says I can't take less insulin any suggestions
