Pylori

Did anyone else's bloodwork come back positive for pylori? Mine did and I had to go on massive doses of antibiotics. I have completed everything (classes and consults) and just had another test to see if the antibiotics took care of the pylori and I tested positive again! I'm really frustrated as this is going to set me back. They won't operate as long as I'm testing positive. I was curious if anyone else had to go through this?

I do a breathe test for my patient's that have tested positive before....you breathe into a small bag and they send that off for analysis.

That's why I was asking. The first doc my aubt went to kept doing by blood even after antibiotics. May be that is what is happening to her.

Both tests were done by bloodwork. I haven't talked with the dr.'s office yet so I don't know what they'll do next. If they put me on another round of antibiotics, it will push out sending for insurance authorization by at least another month. Very discouraging!!!

I was also positive before my surgery, i took antibiotics and then came back negative. The second test was done by breathing into a bag.good luck
