Four Days Post Op

Well, after years of saying I didn't want to have the bypass here I am 4 days post op. About 5 years ago my partner had surgery and has maintained over 200lb loss. Multiple spinal injuries later and I made my decision. So far so good. It was weird that I felt better in the hospital than at home. Surgery performed by Dr. Fuzz at Wake Forest Baptist one of the nicest doctors I've ever known. Waiting to hear more details about a liver biopsy but all in all a good start.

They found scar tissue on my liver while they were in there. They are having a specialist check it out.

Interesting. I have a side pain that I've asked my surgeon to look at while he's in there as well. Was wondering how much they would be able to see but it sounds like they are used to looking.

Congrats on your surgery and I wish you the most success! Are they thinking fibrosis with Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Diesease? I have pretty severe fatty liver and they are going to biopsy mine when they are in there. Weightloss and low-no carb with moderate fat and excercise help improve it a lot.

I just completed my first full night of sleep. When I woke to see the sun shining through the blinds it was great. I've been sleeping just a couple of hours at a time.
