My 17 yr old niece was supposed to move up here in May to help me and hubby during my surgery and recoup time. I mailed power of attorney papers to my sister in case I need to take her to the Dr since she is 400 miles away. My brother is law is now having a fit saying she can't come until she turns 18 in August!!! AAARRRR!!! My brother in law is very verbally abusive to his family and I wanted to get my niece away from it. My sister chooses to live with him, I can't stop that. But I thought I was getting Maegan away from him. My sister told me that she could come up after her graduation in May. Now I'm sure she won't go against him and sign the papers. She was also going to babysit my 6 yr old this summer instead of me having to pay $140.00 a week for summer camp (and that's the cheapest I could find). I just feel everything is falling apart!! I have come so far into this to stop this surgery now!!

Oh goodness I wish I was near to help you out. It sucks when men are controlling & us woman including my self put up the the crap.
