I've been struggling with quite a few stalls, can anyone share your experiences about yours, how long did it last? Did you change anything and your stall was over? Any advice will be great.

Ugghhhh I hate stalls I was in a 3 month stall 5 months post op. What I did to get out of it .... I increased my exercise from walking 45 minutes a day to jogging 1 hour 7 day a week. I also set goals that I had to reach by certain dates etc. That got me a bit more focused.

Well there are a few things that might help. One is track your foods. There are tons of apps out there for computer and phone- I have found this helps one truly see what they are eating in a day. Also with that go back to measuring and don't go over a cup a meal. Second, Increase Protein decrease carbs. Third, go back to basics when you drink a protein supplement for a meal or two and eat a meal and or a healthy snack. Or even go back to liquid diet for a week or two. Fourth, change up your exercise routine, your body might just have decided it likes your routine and doesn't want to let go of anymore weight. Fifth, make sure you are measuring yourself along with jumping on the scale. We often are losing inches and the scale might not be moving much. If you are really athletic and building muscle remember muscle weighs more so the scale might even go up a bit-however that is okay because muscle is good.

Other things to think about-how far out are you? How much have you lost? Are you getting close to goal? Are you taking any medications that can interfere with weight loss? As we lose weight we won't see the big numbers and might stall out a bit. Also if you had some great months of loss of 15-30 pounds you might have a month with nothing. Look at the big picture. Work the program your surgeon has designed for you. If you are really getting frustrated call your surgeon/dietician and see if they can game plan with you and figure out what is causing the stall. More then likely this is just a normal bump in the road. I think we all get to anxious and want to see immediate results. Remember we didnt put this weight on over night so it will take some time to come off. Plus, for me I would not have lost the 45-50 pounds I have in 11 weeks without this surgery. Thanks for replying. I love your respond. So far I'm about 5 months p.o and have lost about 67 pounds. I don't eat a lot but I do workout a lot. My goal is to be 120. I started out at 246 and I'm currently 179. I hate being a slow loser and stalling. I have not measured myself. I will be taking your advice and setting goals and measuring everything. I'm actually going to print your respond... Lol. I think reading it often will help.

I changed up by adding more calories and suprisingly i got out of my stall..... Good luck
