I am glad you were approved. I am still waiting on my first appointment. I am really anxious, cause I don't know what to expect.

The appts arent that bad lots of testing...overall not a long process you just have to have as much patience as possible the long wait is getting the insurance approval... for the meantime just start doing different diet regimen and cutting down your calorie intake.. you will have an initial weight loss that is required by your surgeon before surgery is done so you know you can start working on it now

You are so young! Congratulations on making a choice to live a healthier happier life. My daughter has a friend who is around your age who had RNY last year and she lost over a hundred pounds. She has been encouraging me and is an inspiration. You have so much to live for and so many years ahead of you that you will be able enjoy to the fullest. Nervousness is normal. You'll get through it and it will be worth it...

Good for you for making this decision while you are young! I'm 35 and wish I had done this in my 30s - I've battles weight all of my life. Good luck to you!
