I start my pre op diet may 4 omg think of what my last big meal will be lol

I start on my birthday, Monday April 30'th. Guess, I will have a nice meal the day before my bday. Lol. Still deciding on what. Hehehe

Surgery date: May 14, 2013

Yes. My surgery is scheduled for 6 May 2013. It's been a long process. I've been in the program for almost a year. Before going to the orientation, I was on Opti-Fast and taking Phentermine. Shortly after, I began the plan given by the program and stopped taking the appetite suppressants. I gained 20 lbs and was required to lose the weight before getting scheduled for surgery. We had to sign a statement saying that we could not gain any weight. This was because previous participants just went on an eating frenzy after they got into the program thinking that since they were getting the surgery, they could just gorge until the date. Anyway, I'm happy to have found this forum and wish you and everyone good luck.

That why you just chose one meal I started this journey a year and a half ago my heaviest weight was 315 pound I am know as of yesterday 256 and counting its a life style that I came to adopt to no soda no sugar very little cabs lot of veggie lots whit meat for protein and work out 4 times a week for 2 hour at a time I look at very thing I put into my body it's super hard but I find that you do get use to it little bit at a time

Yes, that's the same day I start mine as well! Unfortunately, I had to have my last meal on Monday since we are required to do a 2 week Atkins type diet. Then 2 days prior to surgery is when we do the clear liquid diet. What do you think you'll have?

I don't know yet lol I am thinking of maybe some nice BBQ baby back ribs and garlic mash potatoes lol

I am blessed with no pre-op liquid diet anything. I do get the pleasure of mag citrate to clean out the intestines. EGD tomorrow then bypass monday!

I am done with my food funeral and not sure about my last meal.

I only told my three kids, they are 30, 25, & 21. They are really supportive. I haven't said anything to my sisters because I know they would be extremely negative and all I would hear is "you are taking the easy way out"

That makes me mad when people say to me this is the easy way out your putting your life on the line for your health and on top of that its a long healing process with your mind and body the easy way out if it is so easy then why was it our last choice working out is easier lol

Well, you can tell them if they ever need a heart transplant to live a healthy life then they must be taking easy way out too.
