I have completed all of my steps that needed to be done before surgery and this was submitted to my insurance (BC/BS Of IL) on Tuesday (yesterday) morning. Maybe I'm just oober anxious. But, I'm just curious how long it usually takes for approval to come back for those of you who already have theirs?

I have bcbs of illinois also. It took exactly 7 days for them to deny me. They wanted my medical history from my primary care dr. After they received that info it took 10 days to approve me. Surgery date is April 22. Good luck with your journey

I have Aetna and it took them over two weeks of doing literally nothing until I called the main corp number in Philly and spoke with someone in pre autherization. After that, it took about 1 day to get approved.

Ahh thanks so much for responding! my primary submitted my medical history and a letter to consider also. Hopefully only a week of brutally waiting then! Haha

I just called my insurance... I'm approved for surgery!
