vitamin B1 deficiency

Hello every one i am almost 3 months post op and I have lost about 84 pounds. I have recently had an issue with numbness in my lower stomach. When I called my surgon's office they sent me for emergency blood. They found out my Vitamin B1 levels were extremely low so they put me on vitamin B1 injections. Just want to know if anyone else has gone through anything like this.

Theremin,(b1) deficiency is usually down to long eating or drinking enough, have they put you on the shots for a week?

Yea i'm on the shot's for 3 weeks but i was getting all my fluids and food in just fine. They.said my other vitamins didn't have enough vitamin b1 in it so that's why i'm taking thiamine pills. they said taking the pill and injection(every other day) will bring my levels up.
